Anna McColley

Anna McColley is a visual artist based in Tbilisi, Georgia and New York, NY. She received her B.A. in art history and visual arts from Barnard College, Columbia University in New York, NY. She has exhibited her work in New York, NY and Tbilisi, Georgia. Her practice navigates personal identity and memory in relation to cultural tendencies towards religion and technology. She seeks to consider the ways in which secular, contemporary society has co-opted religious models in the creation of virtual worlds and digital systems. She frequently works in series and sequences, and utilizes processes of mold-making, casting, and printmaking to explore ideas through repetition and reproduction. Inspired by ancient forms, her work imagines future relics.
