Over the past 25 years, Vanda Art Gallery has established itself as a prime cultural platform in Georgia. Founded in 1993 in Tbilisi by siblings Vanda and Alexander Mujiri, the arts space operated under the name Hobby Gallery, priding itself to be the oldest and very first private art gallery in Georgia.Since its establishment, the mission of Vanda Art Gallery has been to promote and popularize contemporary art from Georgia worldwide. Drawing on the creative circles of Tbilisi and across the country, the gallery has connected accomplished artists with numerous art lovers and collectors from near and far. So far, Vanda Art Gallery counts more than 600 group and solo shows, charitable exhibitions and auctions. Besides working with world-famous artists, the gallery continuously searches for and discovers emerging talent in order to foster and support up-and-coming artists in their future endeavors. As a part of its outreach, Vanda Art Gallery participated in major art fairs and festivals.
