Nina Narimanishvili is a young an enthusiastic artist from Georgia. her artistic practice began at an early age, with drawing becoming one of her primary forms of self-expression. over time, this early passion evolved into a dedicated professional pursuit.
She studied book design and illustration at the Tbilisi state academy of arts (2018–2022), where she developed both a strong academic foundation and an interest in experimental approaches. while she initially worked with acrylic on canvas, her practice gradually expanded toward exploring diverse materials and textures.
Today, Nina works in mixed media, creating handmade paper and preparing her own working surfaces. this process gives her works distinctive physical and visual qualities. her pieces are characterized by layered textures, intuitive forms, and an experimental approach to materiality.
Her work focuses on the inner world of the human experience exploring the subconscious, emotional states, and existential themes. symbolic elements and numerical motifs frequently appear in her compositions, forming a personal and meditative visual language.
Nina Narimanishvili continues to grow as an independent artist, constantly seeking new forms, materials, and methods of expression to further investigate psychological and emotional depth.
Artist statement
My work represents an emotionally charged visual language in which symbols play a central role. I create compositions that explore the inner world of the human being particularly existential crises, subconscious processes, and the invisible tensions that often remain unnoticed in everyday life.
In my practice, numbers hold a significant place as a symbolic system that simultaneously embodies both order and chaos. For me, they are not merely mathematical units, but signs that express emotional and psychological states.
In the process of creating, I rely on intuition forms and symbols often emerge spontaneously, as if rising from the subconscious. Through this approach, I aim to visually convey feelings and thoughts that are difficult to articulate in words.
My goal is to establish an emotional connection with the viewer and to open a space where each individual can engage in a dialogue with themselves with their fears, questions, and inner search.
