MYPH - School of photograpy
ExpoGeorgia
118 Tsereteli Avenue
Since its first edition, TAF has been supporting the photographic scene of Ukraine. This year TAF is showcasing graduates of the MYPH school of photography, founded by photographer Sergey Melnitchenko in 2018. The school started in Melnitchenko's hometown, but now his students are all over Ukraine and even abroad. “When I got the idea for the school, I wanted to work on expanding imaginations and the understanding of contemporary photography among photographers, colleagues, and students. I was looking for professional growth and communication”. In four years, in addition to the teaching itself, MYPH organised or participated in more than twenty projects (exhibitions, festivals, fairs…), in Ukraine, Poland, Italy, France, Austria, South Korea and now Georgia.
The main task of the school is not only education, but also further assistance in the promotion and popularisation of the works of its graduates among professional circles, organisations and institutions. MYPH has just published a photo book of the works of its graduates, among them the photographers presented at TAF. After russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, MYPH has also launched an NFT collection of its community, about 70 authors from all over Ukraine and 333 works. Half of the profits go to the artists, many of which were left unemployed due to the war and the other half goes to help the army and those suffering from the war. (
The artists selected for TAF are Xenia Petrovska, Diana Fedoriaka, Anna Zhukova, Mariia Horshkova, Oksana Nevmerzhytska, Olga Chekotovska, Olia Koval, Lada Solovyova, Volodymyr Demkiv.
All the works presented at TAF can be purchased.
