Idaaf Architects

Established in 2016 in Tbilisi, Idaaf Architects is an architectural, interior and furniture design collective led by the architect, Nana Zaalishvili. Since its foundation, the studio has worked on projects of different type and scale both in Georgia and abroad. Studio works on multidisciplinary principles, aiming for the perfect combination of form and function with the aesthetically pleasing design.

Furniture design is a big part of studio’s everyday life. Created and handcrafted in Tbilisi using domestic materials, it combines traditional craftsmanship with the contemporary language of sinuous forms which almost turns them into a sculpture.

Made always with the materials only found in Georgia, studio works on every piece individually. Each piece is a result of a well though idea and delicate process of making. These unique materials are identifiable by their pronounced patterns and imperfections that together give furni- ture a warm, lustrous quality.
