Roza Muradova is a contemporary painter based in Baku, Azerbaijan, working across oil, acrylic, ink, and watercolor. Her practice explores the relationship between movement, emotion, and the shifting boundary between abstraction and figuration.

Through expressive gestures, layered brushwork, and subtle use of texture, Muradova creates atmospheric compositions that evoke inner psychological states and fragmented memories. Her work often draws from nature as a source of rhythm and transformation, translating organic forms into intuitive visual language.

Her paintings have been exhibited internationally and are held in private collections worldwide.

Artist Statement

I approach painting as an intuitive process, allowing form and meaning to emerge through movement rather than predefined ideas. My work develops through layers, where each gesture responds to the previous one, creating a balance between control and spontaneity.

I am interested in transformation — how forms appear, dissolve, and change over time, reflecting emotional states and perception. Through minimal yet deliberate gestures, I create open compositions that invite personal interpretation.
