Rashad Alakbarov. Installations

TAF and QGallery are happy to present Rashad Alakbarov's installations in the 3-rd Hall of JSC ExpoGeorgia. 

Rashad Alakbarov has worked across different media,including painting, sculpture, theatrical decoration, video art and architectural design. In recent years however it is his shadow installations that he has become best known for. 

Alakbarov's works comprise large-scale, yet subtle installations, containing objects, unique or homogenous, that are arranged in front of a light-source to cast shadows in unexpected configurations. Under standard lighting, the sculptural works have little or nothing to do with the shadows projected, revealing the hidden duality that lies within the artist's work.
